The CM400 Token Acceptor may be placed at the entry or exit of a parking facility.  Designed for parking validation applications where it is not feasible to employ a cashier even though transient traffic flow is present.   Upon insertion of a token, the CM400 automatically raises the barrier gate allowing for entry or exit out of the parking facility.  Tokens may be distributed as a method of free parking validation, or they may be purchased and distributed at a revenue collection point such as an information desk or through an automated token dispenser.  Ready to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the CM400 can be the sole point of validation collection, or may simply be turned on when it is time for your cashiers to punch out.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Cabinet:

The cabinet is constructed of heavy gauge, satin coat galvanized steel, seam welded for extra strength.

The unit measures:  300 x 266 x 394 mm (13”x 10-1\2” x 15-1\2” ) mounted on a reverse offset, steel 50 x 100 mm(2”x 4”) post.

Design and location of the coin slot is such that it is within easy reach of the seated driver. A hinged and gasketed access door is locked by a high security, screw type tubular lock. The door is recessed and fit to the cabinet surface to prevent prying and vandalism. Properly identified legend plates are securely fixed onto the door face to clearly identify the appropriate coinage and coin slot location.

Electrical:

A 120V AC, 5 AMP switch operates when the token has been accepted, to provide a contact closure to operate a CPE\APE Auto Gate or similar device (i.e. electric door strike, electric overhead door operator, electric metering device, etc.) An electromagnet in the token unit rejects tokens into the return cup until the Auto Gate is ready to accept another vend cycle and thereby ensures that no accidental loss of proper coinage occurs at any time.   Power supply is 120V AC, 60 Hz, 2 AMP, and is normally powered by a CPE\APE Auto Gate.

Mechanical:

The coin or token acceptor is manufactured to meet the heavy volume demands relating to vending of this nature. The applicable acceptor is side mounted on the cabinet door and pre-adjusted to accept only the proper token. A reject plunger is provided to sweep slugs, washers, foreign coins etc., into the return cup. A large capacity storage bin sits inside the housing underneath the acceptor to receive tokens.
