CM600 Flat Rate Coin Acceptor

Download Data Sheet (pdf)

The CM600 Coin\Token Acceptor may be placed at the entry or exit of a parking facility.  Designed for revenue control applications where it is not feasible to employ a cashier even though transient traffic flow is present.   Upon payment of a flat fee (from 5¢ to $12.75) using quarters, dimes or nickels, the CM600 automatically raises the barrier gate allowing entry or exit out of the parking facility.  Any change required is quickly dispensed from self-loading change tubes.  Ready to operate 24 hours a day seven days a week, the Coin Master units can be the sole point of revenue collection or simply be turned on when it is time for your cashiers to punch out.

DESCRIPTION:

  • Robust acceptor mechanism accepts quarters, dimes and nickels.  An optional token acceptor is also available to accommodate validated parking.
  • Change dispenser pays out nickels dimes and quarters from self replenishing high-capacity change tubes in the least number of coins available.
  • 10 gauge steel cabinet.
  • Access door is hinged and gasketed.
  • Locking coin vault.
  • High security screw lock.
  • Gate lock out to prevent lost coins or tokens.
  • Audit counter for revenue tracking.
  • Optional card readers available.
  • Optional intercom substation.
  • Thermostatic controlled heater prevents freeze up conditions in coin slots.
  • A 150 WATT heater, thermostatically controlled, is provided to maintain acceptable temperature and humidity levels within the cabinet.

Cabinet:

The cabinet is constructed of heavy gauge, satin coat galvanized steel, seam welded for extra strength. The unit measures:  415 x 305 x 1000 mm (16-1/4  x 12  x 39-3/8 ).  Design and location of the coin slot is such that it is within easy reach of the seated driver. A hinged and gasketed access door is locked by a high security, screw type tubular lock. The door is recessed and fit to the cabinet surface to prevent prying to minimize tampering and vandalism. Properly identified legend plates are securely fixed onto the door face to clearly identify the appropriate coinage and coin slot location.

Electrical:

A 120V AC, 5 AMP switch operates when the coin or token has been accepted, to provide a contact closure to operate CPE\APE Auto Gates or similar.  An electromagnet in the coin unit rejects coins into the coin return cup until the Auto Gate is ready to accept another vend cycle and thereby ensures that no accidental loss of proper coinage occurs at any time.  A 120V AC, 125 WATT thermostatically controlled heater is provided to prevent condensation within the mechanism.  Power supply is 120V AC, 60 Hz, 2 AMP, and is normally powered from a CPE\APE Auto Gate or similar device.

Options:

  • Separate token acceptor
  • Intercom substation
  • Face mounted card reader
