The folding fence for rising barriers, is designed to emphasize the fact that access to the controlled zones is prohibited to vehicles and pedestrians. The bar structure and the height of the unit form effective dissuasive elements sufficient to block the passage, notably of pedestrians, by preventing them from passing under the arm of the barrier when it is in the closed position. The fact that the fence opens vertically means that the access route can be cleared more rapidly than with a sliding gate, and is more space efficient than a conventional pivoting gate. In addition, there is no track at ground level which sliding gate systems rely upon.
OPERATION
When the barrier is opened, an adjustable rod, one of whose ends is integral with the cabinet of the barrier, forces the fence to fold up like a pantograph against the arm so that it is completely folded when in the open position. In addition, in the closed position, this same rod prevent any pendulum movement of the bar structure, thus eliminating any possibility of removing the vertical bars, when the arm is in horizontal position. All the rotation points of the fence are mounted on nylon articulation rings and kept firmly in place with the aid of stainless steel screws and lock nuts.
