The Multi Space Parking Meter works like a regular meter, but provides control for up to 10 spaces with a single unit. The RMV1\RSV2 reduces urban clutter by more than 75% through the replacement of a number of single space units with one Multi Space Parking meter. The fully digital RMV1\RSV2 offers simultaneous easy to use coin and smart card options, tight audit controls, flexible demand management systems, real time fault detection through on line communications and safer more effective enforcement.
Description
Enforcement Interface The Enforcer module uses large fluorescent discs, located on the rear side of the meter to indicate parking status from a distance. Contrasted with LED based methods, the discs may be seen over a long distance in bright sunlight or dark conditions, without confusing one space with another. Two of the discs in this module are also reserved to identify a pending or current maintenance event.
Through the ReinoNet wireless management system, powerful management data is available to give precise information on meter status, allowing City staff to identify whether a citation contestation is valid or not. Staff can provide motorists with an instant printout of the meter status that relates to their contested citation as proof that the citation is valid.
User Interface The machine is equipped with a graphical LCD using black text on a green illuminated background. The LCD has full graphical, numeric and text based capabilities and can accommodate character-based languages.
Restricted Periods & Look Ahead Warnings The RMV1\RSV2 is able to inform the motorist during periods that payments are not required. This may include restricted parking periods such as No Parking, Clearway, Bus and Taxi Zones or alternatively during non-regulated parking times e.g. Free Parking.
The RMV1\RSV2 look-ahead payment software continually determines whether a change in rate and/or parking state will occur as a result of that payment.
Maximum parking time is also enforced so that the motorist does not pay for parking that they do not need to pay for or are not able to utilize due to restricted parking.
Internet Based Realtime Management The optional ReinoNet Parking Management System is a comprehensive database application used for the management of an on-street parking installation. For the duration of the contract, Reino will host and maintain the ReinoNet management application, which will be available online to all authorized personnel for purposes of citation adjudication, service and performance reporting and management of meter inventory and audits. ReinoNet provides the following key management functions: Real-time telemetry monitoring of all meters, which are enabled with cellular wireless communications. This facility provides immediate notification of all service effecting alarms and manages the notification of fault status to the service technicians. Sensors can also detect break-ins or attempt of theft of the unit. Meter asset management includes records of all meter locations, hours of operation, configurations, parking rates and other relevant data. Meter maintenance and inspection records are maintained in the management system and provide the ability to access the maintenance and performance history of either a single meter or a collection of meters. Revenue collection reporting includes a central secure repository of all revenue collected by the meters. Sources include wireless communications, intelligent cash box , cash collection and count process. Enforcement Inspection and meter up-time analysis using Sneaker Net; each Reino meter maintains a record of each enforcement inquiry made of it. Most importantly, meter maintenance records and their potential impact on the legitimacy of any particular parking citation can be immediately identified within ReinoNet. Performance management and reporting: ReinoNet includes a range of standard reports that allows the operator to monitor and manage the installation.
