The PG4 Fee Computer has been designed using field proven components and design concepts providing reliable, flexible, accurate and cost effective revenue calculation and collection for all facets of the parking industry. Versatility, efficiency, and accuracy make the PG4 Fee Computer the right choice for your most demanding revenue control requirements. DESCRIPTION
Fee Structures: The PG4 can contain 2 independent fee files (One current and one future) with automatic switch over at a programmable implementation date. Automatic compensation for parking times overlapping implementation dates included. Each fee file can consist of nine separate rate structures with individual fee and time increment structures, different maximums and day of week and holiday applications. Rate structures may be used as either calendar type with rates calculated based on days of the week or as duration type with rates changing after a certain number of days parking duration has elapsed. Customizing rate calculations for special applications is facilitated by the extensive variety of programmable fee increment overlaps, nested fee structures and multiple maximum types. Complimentary and grace times are independently programmable for different values during different times of the day to allow automatic change over when desired. Fee calculations are extremely rapid and can extend several years into the past if desired.
FEATURES IN DETAIL Lost Ticket Calculations: Nine separate lost ticket rates (1 for each rate structure) may be independently programmed to calculate fees as either fixed, manually entered or based on the appropriate rate structure with either a default or manually entered entry time.
Deposit System: In applications requiring a deposit collection system a sophisticated and functional facility is provided with automatic deposit calculation for any of the rate structures from a programmable start time, automatic entry lane switch over and control (including entrance gate vend and entry lane arming) and provision for an optional second customer fee indicator for the entry lane. This sets an industry standard providing full functionality and control between the PG4 and your entrance lane.
Taxes: Three different taxes can be implemented and programmed to calculate individually as additive or inclusive to any rate structure. The PG4 also allows the applicable taxes to calculate additive to each other and/or the original fee. Taxes are recorded and identified separately.
Miscellaneous Fee and Surcharges: Ten keys are provided and can be programmed as preset or open value for use as special fees or as surcharges to parking fees. These may be used individually or in conjunction with other fees. A multiplication key is available for use with any of these keys. A pay out key is available for refunds or other special applications. For non-revenue transactions a No Sale key is provided.
Payment: The PG4 excels in revenue collection flexibility by accepting and individually itemizing 4 different types of payment namely CASH, CHECK, CREDIT CARD & FOREIGN CURRENCY. A debit key may also be used in conjunction with any of the above selections for partial/nil payments. A programmable exchange rate automatically converts foreign currency and calculates change in local currency.
Validations: Up to 250 discounts individually programmable to calculate by the standard validation types of: Fee Discount; Percent Discount; Time Discount and Manual Entry. Most validations on the PG4 will be performed and itemized with a single keystroke. The PG4 is setting yet another industry standard with the ability to perform merchant discounts by Rate Structure. The PG4 will enable the end user to preprogram completely separate rate structures strictly for validations. This feature enhances the capability to accurately discount the most complicated of rate structures. Multiple validations can be accumulated with ease in conjunction with transactions and surcharges by using the multiplier key.
Reports: The PG4 issues complete and accurate cashier reports detailing: • START DATE / END DATE • CASHIER I.D. # • SIGN ON / OFF TIMES • NUMBER OF TRANSACTIONS • NUMBER AND TYPE OF VOIDS • GROSS SALES • VALIDATIONS • DEBITS AND PAYOUTS • NET SALES • PAYMENT TYPES • TAXES • FLOATS AND CASH DROPS All cashier reports are compiled automatically to lane reports. The PG4 maintains lane reports for 7 days providing simple consistent record retrieval. All daily lane reports are automatically compiled into a cumulative grand total report. PG4 generates daily statistical reports consisting of: • CASHIER TIME CARD REPORT • VEHICLE DURATION REPORT • DOLLAR VALUE REPORT • LANE ACTIVITY REPORT An access code consisting of 4 different programmable levels can be implemented to determine which specific personnel may retrieve all or individual statistical reports. The PG4 also generates an itemized merchant report indicating: • TYPE OF VALIDATION • MERCHANT NAME • MERCHANT # • NUMBER OF VALIDATIONS • VALUE OF VALIDATIONS
Receipts and Ticket Validations: The PG4 Fee Computer provides extensive documentation on receipts and multiple line ticket validation. All pertinent information including parking duration is itemized and printed on receipts in logical, easy to read format. Each item on the receipt is duplicated on the multiple line ticket validation for fast and accurate auditing of transactions. Internal multi-line ticket validation facilitates auditing of ticket processing by cashiers.
Central Cashier System The PG4 Fee Computer is versatile in that it can be used in central cashier applications. The CPE/APE CCS320 Central Cashier System, using field proven magstripe technology provides a flexible and affordable revenue management solution that allows parking facility managers to operate facilities in an efficient and cost effective configuration. Consult your local CPE/APE representative for more details.
